Is this proof fully wireless charging is coming to future iPhones?

Is this proof fully wireless charging is coming to future iPhones?

We all raised our eyebrows when Apple removed the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, but we’d probably all be glad to see the back of charging cables.
The good news is that indeed seems to be the plan at Apple. Documents uncovered by VentureBeat show that Apple has in fact been in talks with wireless charging startup Energous for some time now.
Energous is developing WattUp, a transmitter that can send out proprietary waveforms to receivers that are able to isolate a radio frequency into a “pocket”, travelling 15 feet and charging as many as 12 devices at once.
As a smaller company putting out a public offering of stock shares, it puts out prospective information to investors giving details on what its business consists of. Part of this includes generic industry certifications, such as FCC approval. But also sitting clearly is mention of “Apple compliance testing”.

Bye-bye plugs

It’s a very specific reference to make, nestled between notes for industry-wide approval processes, suggesting that Apple is at least thinking about WattUp designs for inclusion in future products.
What’s particularly interesting is that the mentions of Apple date back as far as March 2014 in Apple materials. So it’s a feature that’s been bubbling up in the labs of Cupertino for a while now too.
Energous itself had teased that it was working with “one of the top five consumer electronics companies.”
But Energous is now downplaying the relationship. In response to the VentureBeat article, reps for Energous stated that “the SEC filing statement from 2014 blankets any future anticipated testing and is not indicative of specific partners.”
That won’t stop people speculating about wireless charging in the iPhone 8,

Guess how much earnest money Reliance Jio has deposited for the 1 Oct spectrum auction

Guess how much earnest money Reliance Jio has deposited for the 1 Oct spectrum auction

Seven mobile operators are said to have deposited EMD (earnest money deposits) of about Rs 15,000 crore for the upcoming spectrum auctions due on 1 October - much lower than the previous year's Rs 20,435 crore.
A DoT official, however, said the EMD cannot be linked to the scale of bidding. "In 2010, when Infotel Broadband, now Reliance Jio, applied for auction, no one was able to link their EMD with the pan-India bids that they placed. There were established players that were participating in that auction, but Infotel emerged as the pan-India winner of BWA spectrum," the official said.
The official, however, refused to share EMD figures. According to industry sources, Reliance Jio has deposited the highest guarantee of nearly Rs 6,500 crore while Vodafone has submitted an EMD of about Rs 2,800 crore.
Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel are understood to have submitted about Rs 2,000 crore and 1,900 crore, respectively, ahead of the auction where airwaves worth Rs 5.63 lakh crore will go under the hammer. The balance has been submitted by Tata Teleservices, RCom and Aircel. EMD is indicative of a company's strategy to bid in specific circles and spectrum bands. It gives them eligibility points with regard to those circles.

The finance ministry in the Budget pegged the revenue target at Rs 98,995 crore from the telecom space, which includes Rs 64,000 crore from the auction of about 2,354.55 Mhz of spectrum and the rest from various levies and services this financial year. All the radio waves being put up for auction can be used for high-speed 4G services.
